Board Member

We are currently seeking 3 members to join the existing 3 member board.  we are particularly interested in individuals with knowledge or experience in HR, finance and experience dealing with public administration.

Our organisation was formed in 2001 by drug users and former drug users to advocate for services for people who use drugs.  It was formed in north inner-city Dublin and has become well established and respected over its history.  It works face to face with drug users predominently through volunteers and currently has 3 full time staff.

UISCE is financed by the HSE and co-ordinates with other organisations such as Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD) as well as ???.  UISCE's work is recognised both by its funders and partner organisations and it has now been asked to take on a national remit.

The current board has strong sector knowledge and legal and governance.  Due to retirement and its new national remit it wishes to recruit a further three members to strengthen particularly in HR, Accounting and Finance.  No prior board experience is required and we welcome interest from any age profile.

The required committment is approximately ?? hours per year.  Board meetings are held online every two months.
