Kilrush Credit Union Limited is a local, not for profit financial institution with over 10,000 members within the common bond. We specialise in providing a safe place for savings and loans in our community. Established in 1968, Kilrush Credit Union is proud of its heritage and continues to be governed by our members and voluntary Board of Directors.


Kilrush Credit Union is recruiting a Director to join our volunteer Board. We seek a capable individual preferably with experience in one or more of the following areas - Marketing, Governance, Legal, Business Administration, HR, Finance, and Investments. The Board meets monthly, plus an additional committee meeting as required. This would be three to three and a half hours monthly plus some preparatory reading of reports etc. but will be hugely rewarding.

Elected by the members, the Board of Directors is responsible for the control, strategic direction, and management of Kilrush Credit Union. Directors will also be required to participate in one or more committees. The role requires an investment of time and energy. The benefits of volunteering at Kilrush Credit Union include the opportunity to gain skills and expertise at a senior level in financial services, as well as appropriate related further professional education opportunities and personal development, which are normally funded by Kilrush Credit Union.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the West Clare Community through the important role as a Director of Kilrush Credit Union. 

Eligible applicants must hold the 'Common Bond' (living or working) in the local area of Kilrush Credit Union.
