Board Director (Trustee) HR Specialist

The Fingal County Childcare Committee is looking to expand and strengthen its voluntary Board of Directors (Trustees) by inviting a new member to the board. 

The organisation would benefit from a member with expertise with regard to best practice in HR management ideally but not necessary in the not for profit sector.

Fingal County Childcare Committee currently support over 360 childcare providers including Childminders and Parent and Toddler Groups in the Fingal area, this in turn results in support to over 5,000 parents.

The role of the Director (Trustee) is to add to the skillset and expertise of current Directors.  To formulate policies and strategies and put in place necessary company organisational structures and resources.  This is necessary to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of the company's statement of work directive by our funders the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Ongoing support to the Mangers in their role as Finance/Office Manager and Operational Manager forms part of the Directors responsibilities.

The Board sit 6 times per year, (bi-monthly), inclusive of an AGM.  Meetings last approx 1 hour and are held on a Monday or Tuesday morning.  Dates are fixed in January of each year.  Given the current pandemic, meetings are now taking place virtually.
