Co-operative Housing Ireland, the national federation for the co-operative housing movement, is seeking to appoint a new member to its Board.
Since 1973, Co-operative Housing Ireland has supported the provision of more than 5,500 homes across Ireland and continues to manage over 2,500 homes through a network of local co-operatives.
We are actively developing new housing across Ireland, as well as serving as one of the leading representative bodies for the co-operative movement.
As a co-operative, our Board is distinctive among Approved Housing Bodies in having the majority of the Board elected by tenant members, supplemented by external expertise. The Board delegates day-today management to a Chief Executive and a team of more than 70 staff.
At present, the Board is seeking expressions of interest from individuals with backgrounds in one or more of the following:
– The management of housing delivery
– Technical skills related to housing delivery and/or housing management
– Experience with local authorities.
Ideally, candidates will have previous voluntary board experience. Appointments are non-remunerated, and for terms of two-years, which can be renewed.
Please submit expressions of interest by Friday, 21st June, 2019 to:
